"Thyroidectomy Journey in Oil: Medications, Feminism, and Gaps in Medical Research," explores the intersection of art, personal experience, and systemic issues in the medical field. Through my work, I visually translate the reality of life without a thyroid, using painting as a way to process my journey and address gaps in medical research and healthcare. My pieces highlight how the medical system often minimizes women’s concerns and fails to account for the complexities of the female body. By elevating everyday objects, such as pills, I aim to transform them into symbols of resilience, survival, and the ongoing fight for health.

Echos of Resilience: A Thyroid Cancer Journey in Paint at Stonehenge Gallery

This work emerges from the depths of my thyroid cancer journey, where empathy finds its voice through oil on canvas. Each painting serves as a testament to the experiences of survivors, patients, and caretakers, transforming personal narratives into a shared visual language. Through a restrained palette and meticulous detail, these works embody the weight of uncertainty, the glimmers of hope, and the resilience that defines the human spirit. In every brushstroke, a story unfolds, one of endurance, reflection, and connection.
